Armenian antitrust commission warns Lusakert firm
Armenia's antitrust commission has instituted proceedings against Lusakert poultry factory for releasing eggs without expiry date on packages.
The Armenian State Commission for Protection of Economic Competition decided Thursday (Sep 16) to institute proceedings against the company along with four other poultry farms cited with the same issue.
The commission warned these companies on July 28 against doing the same in the future and gave them 20 days for putting things right. The recurrent monitoring held on August 30 showed that all the wrongdoers but Lusakert Poultry Factory corrected their faults.
Immediately after that, Artak Shaboyan, head of the antitrust commission, made a relevant statement in his interview with newspapers, but follow-up inspections in supermarkets in Yerevan showed that everything was left unchanged.
