Russia lifts poultry import ban from West Virginia
Russia's veterinary regulator has lifted a temporary ban on poultry imports from the US state of West Virginia, the regulator's spokesman Alexei Alekseyenko said Wednesday, according to the Prime-Tass news agency.
The ban was introduced on April 5, following a bird flu outbreak there, Alekseyenko said. The ban covered live birds, eggs, poultry and bird feed, he said.
