Vietnam, Venezuela sign agreement on aquaculture projects

 

 

After signing agreements with the Vietnamese government, a number of aquaculture projects will be run in the state of Falcon, Venezuela starting next year.

 

Vietnam will cooperate with the Venezuelan state on the development of this important economic activity, according to Vietnam's ambassador in Venezuela, Ngo Tien Dung, who is visiting the town of Mauroa de Falcon, Venezuela.

 

The official toured strategic places, such as the south where there is potential for stocking and aquaculture in the dam Matícora.

 

Tien Dung also recalled that in 2009 a group of Vietnamese agricultural engineers travelled to Mauroa to study the soil for raising fish and shrimp.

 

Furthermore, he commented that the two countries are similar as to their socialist plan and natural characteristics.

 

He concluded by saying Vietnam and Venezuela, intend to work together and cooperate so they have signed macro agreements in the tourist, housing, aquaculture areas."
