Brazil's meat, soymeal exports up 0.9% in September 1-15

 

 

In the first two weeks of September, Brazil's daily average exports grew by 0.9% on-year, from US$1.109 billion to US$1.118 billion with its sum reaching US$10.065 billion, largely due to a rise in soymeal, and meat (pork, beef and poultry) exports.

 

Year-to-date average daily soymeal exports have risen by 38.4% in revenue (US$33.9 million) and 5.4% in volume (63,500 tonnes) against a year ago, and 12.6% and 7.8% compared to the first two weeks of August 2012, respectively.

 

Year-to-date daily average poultry exports have reached US$33.4 million and 16,600 tonnes - respective rises of 23.4% and 25.3% against a year ago. Compared to August 2012 there were increases of 49.5% and 34%, respectively.

 

Meanwhile, chilled pork exports have risen 69% in revenue and 86% in volume against a year ago, and 56% and 52.5% compared to August 2012, respectively. Year-to-date beef export revenue and volume have risen by 31.2% and 49.3%, respectively, against the same period in 2011, and 33.3% and 33.8% compared to August 2012, respectively.
