China Live Hog Weekly: Weaker prices despite lower supply (week ended Sep 17, 2014)
Hog prices continued slide even though release volumes decreased 4.88% from 8,945 tonnes to 8,508 tonnes. As hog prices stayed at yearly high levels, slaughterhouses were cautious in stockpiling inventories, particularly with pork demand falling below expectations.
