Robust demand underpins China methionine prices
Prices of methionine remained stable during the week ending September 16.
Demand for methionine strengthened substantially of late as buyers stockpiled inventories in preparation for the upcoming holidays during early October. In addition, high animal releases during this period increased the usages of methionine.
Liquid methionine quotes in the general market were stable at RMB20.40-21.50/kg.
The sales of methionine should stay strong in the coming week.
