Batory Foods launches advanced warehouse management system
 

 

A US-based ingredients distributor, Batory Foods, has announced that it has implemented an upgraded warehouse management system at its 170,000 square feet Chicago distribution facility.

 

The project, which was implemented over the course of two years, was initiated as part of Batory Foods' corporate excellence programme, which emphasises a commitment to continuous improvement.

 

The new system introduces customer-centric efficiencies in the supply chain through best-in-class logistics technology.

 

Batory noted that the new system allows the company and its customers to meet increasingly stringent government regulations pertaining to quality assurance and safety. Its technology tracks product information, dates, lots and freshness with unparalleled precision in real time.

 

In addition, the system streamlines the documentation process dramatically. The system was implemented in partnership with supply chain consultancy enVista and supply chain process platform Manhattan Associates.
