Ukraine harvested grains and leguminous crops throughout the areas of 10.57 million hectares, or 70% of the forecast while its produced volumes totalled 27.63 million tonnes with the average yield of 26.1 centners/hectare (c/ha) as of September 14, 2012.
According to the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine, on the same date in 2011 agrarians produced 35.84 million tonnes of grains throughout the areas of 11.71 million hectares with the yield of 30.6 c/ha.
In particular, on the reporting date in 2012 agrarians harvested buckwheat throughout 164,500 hectares (58%), and produced 162,500 tonnes with the yield of 9.9 c/ha.
Agrarians harvested corn throughout 562,600 hectares (12%), and already produced 1.81 million tonnes of the grain, the yield - 34.5 c/ha. Ukrainian agrarians harvested 136,500 tonnes of millet throughout the areas of 118,200 hectares (70%). The yield totalled 11.5 c/ha.
Ukraine harvested sunflower seed throughout of 1.84 million hectares (20%). The produced volumes totalled 2.65 million tonnes, the yield - 14.4 c/ha. Also, agrarians harvested 513,200 tonnes of soy throughout the areas 343,900 hectares (23%) with the yield of 14.9 c/ha.
Besides, continue preparing the soil for planting of winter crops. As of the reporting date, agrarians already processed 8.72 million hectares (96% of the plan) of agricultural lands.
As of the reporting date, agrarians planted winter rapeseed for the harvest-2013 throughout 881,700 hectares (94% of the plan), and other winter crops - 1.48 million hectares (18%). In particular, Ukrainian agrarians planted winter wheat throughout 1.37 million hectares (21%), winter barley - 23,100 hectares (2%), winter rye - 94,600 hectares (30%).
