Kuwait cuts dairy subsidy to citizens

 

 

Kuwait's Ministry of Commerce and Industry has told dairy products manufacturers that it will no longer pay subsidy for products which are supplied to the citizens through ration cards.

 

Assistant Undersecretary for Commercial Control and Consumer Protection at the ministry Abdullah Al-Enezi informed the representatives of the dairy products companies that the ministry intends to use the money for other important product.

 

The ministry is paying KWD0.200 (US$0.70) per packet of dairy products as subsidy.
