The Department of Agriculture estimated losses to reach PHP2.6 billion (US$59.44 million) brought by the deadly floods and monsoon rains of typhoon Maring (international name Trami). Maring crippled the Metro and its nearby areas for several weeks with its heavy rains and massive floods.
