UAE poultry processor to boost production by 27 percent
One of the largest Ukrainian producers of poultry meat, the Kyiv-based Myronivskyi Khliboprodukt Company, expects its production of chicken-meat to grow by 60,000 tonnes, up 27 percent in 2009 over 2008, to 285,000 tonnes.
Yurii Kosiuk, the board chairman of Myronivskyi Khliboprodukt, announced this at a press conference.
Myronivskyi board chairman Yurii Kosiuk said the company has plans to boost chicken-meat production to 335,000 tonnes in 2010.
The company's financial director Viktoria Kapeliushna said that the company has launched the second stage of the Myronivska Poultry Factory in Kaniv, Cherkasy region, having increased the production capacity twice to 200,000 tonnes of chicken.
Together with the launch of the additional production of poultry meat in the frames of this project, the company increased the production of eggs, fodder food and protein. The investments into the project made up US$220 million.
According to the company, the stake of poultry in the total volume of sales is 70 percent.
