BASF raises prices of formic acid in the Asia-Pacific region

BASF is raising its prices for formic acid in the Asia Pacific region by US$80 per tonne.

 

The increase is effective immediately, or as existing contracts permit,

 

BASF's customers use formic acid in multiple applications.

 

The ecoefficient acid helps to keep certain feeds fresh and free of salmonellae, and is also applied as an auxiliary in the crop protection industry.

 

The acid regulates pH values;

 

BASF is the world's leading producer of formic acid, with production plants at its integrated Verbund sites in Ludwigshafen, Germany, and Nanjing, China.
