CHS opens new office in Argentina

CHS Inc. has opened a new office in Buenos Aires, Argentina, the company announced Monday (Sept 14).

The location is an important step forward in fulfilling the company's global strategy, said Rick Browne, senior vice president, CHS Grain Marketing.

The new office will also be particularly important in strengthening the company's soy supply chain to global customers, Browne said.

This is CHS' seventh foreign office, joining others in Geneva, Switzerland; Kiev, Ukraine; Sao Paulo, Brazil; Calgary, Canada; as well as Shanghai and Hong Kong, China.

CHS is the third largest US grain company and handles nearly 1.2 billion bushels annually. CHS Argentina will primarily market soy, corn and wheat grown in Argentina.
