Tight supplies of threonine in China drive offer prices higher

Threonine supplies in China were extremely tight and lagged behind demand in recent days. Offer prices of imported threonine were generally in the range of RMB36.0-38.0/kg in recent days, with the highest level reportedly reaching about RMB40.0/kg. Transactions was generally light recently as many resellers have difficulty securing their supplies.


Supplies of locally produced threonine were also tight. Offer prices of locally produced threonine hovered at RMB32.0/kg, while actual transacted prices were generally in the range of RMB31.0-32.0/kg in recent days.
