Vietnam starts mass poultry vaccination against bird flu
Vietnam's Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City recently started mass poultry vaccinations against bird flu. Hanoi alone would vaccinate about 4 million poultry.
The country's government had earlier decided mandatory vaccination programmes against bird flu would be conducted in 47 provinces and cities. So far, poultry were already vaccinated in Nam Dinh, Tien Giang, Thai Binh and Bac Ninh provinces.
Meanwhile, the remaining provinces and cities would complete their vaccination programmes from now until the end of November this year. Other provinces and cities were granted discretion on deciding the appropriate moment to vaccinate their poultry.
