Canada starts beef export advisory group
A new beef and cattle advisory group has been formed to help the Canadian government identify trade priorities and facilitate negotiations and discussions on market access and development, said Canadian agriculture minister Andy Mitchell.
The group will be made up of representatives from organisations such as the Canada Beef Export Federation, the Canadian Beef Breeds Council, the Canadian Cattlemen's Association, the Canadian Meat Council and the Canadian Livestock Genetics Association.
It is hoped that through this, Canada would be able to reach more foreign markets beyond that of the US, Mitchell explained.
