Australian Consumers Paying More For Beef, Lamb
The latest figures show the Australian demand for red meat has increased in the past year, but shoppers are paying more for beef and lamb.
Meat and Livestock Australia says beef demand grew by 2? per cent, while lamb rose 1 per cent.
But record saleyard prices for sheep and cattle show up in what shoppers are spending - $438 million more on beef, and $209 million more on lamb.
