Taiwan TFMA Buys 43,390 MT US Wheat From Toepfer, Agrex
The north and central Taiwan members of the Taiwan Flour Millers Association bought 43,390 metric tons of U.S. No. 1 wheat from trading houses Toepfer and Agrex in a buy tender concluded Tuesday, said a TFMA official.
TFMA bought one cargo of different milling wheat at prices ranging from $156.16-$204.94 a ton, free on board from the Columbia River District, including Portland, the official said.
An ocean freight rate of $38.80/ton will be charged on top of all the FOB prices, the official said.
Toepfer will supply the Dark Northern Spring wheat and Hard Red Winter wheat, while Agrex will provide Western White wheat, the official said.
The shipment date is set for between Nov. 10-24.
TFMA failed to buy any wheat for another cargo of about 43,380 tons of milling wheat, citing high prices. The company has yet to announce a retender date for that cargo, the official said.
Below are the details of TFMA's buy tender Tuesday:
