Pas Reform holds hatchery management training in India

A two-day hatchery management training programme, delivered by Pas Reform in collaboration with Suguna, in Hyderabad, India, has attracted praise for its highly focused combination of practical and theory-based training.
Organised by Pas Reform's country manager for India, Venkitakrishnan Natarajan, the first day of the course was held at the Hotel Golkonda, in Hyderabad, with day two being hosted by Suguna, at their state-of-the-art hatchery, at nearby Narasapur. 26 delegates from Suguna Foods, Venkateshwara Hatcheries, Sneha Farms, Sriya Farms, Shanthi Feeds and the Amrit Group attended from hatcheries across the country.
The programme was introduced by Dr Tan Ee Seng, Pas Reform's sales director in Asia, and led by Pas Reform Academy's senior poultry specialist, Gerd de Lange, with sessions also delivered by Venkitakrishnan. The course provided a focused opportunity for delegates to share their own experiences, while covering topics ranging from hatching egg disinfection, setter management and ventilation, to quality control, practical embryology, performance testing and analysis.
Commenting on the course, Dr. Karthik, the head of hatchery operations from Shanthi Feeds, said: "(The course) was very interesting, valuable learning that I can apply immediately in my hatchery, in key aspects of production for healthy, day old chicks - and it is also very interesting to see Pas Reform's Smart™ incubators at the Suguna hatchery… they are very user friendly."
"We are delighted with the response to this programme," concludes Venkitakrishnan. "Here in India, it is absolutely in keeping with (Pas Reform's) aims, to support the growth of the sector - and it was a pleasure to work with Suguna, who are equally committed to supporting rural entrepreneurship. We look forward to announcing new dates for our next training programme in India soon."
