Swift Foods Expects $1 Million In Chicken Export Revenue For Sept
Swift Foods Inc said it expects revenue from its chicken export business to hit 1 million dollars in September. The company's chicken export business had started in July.
"Shipments to Japan continue to be made every week and orders continue to increase," Swift Foods chairman and chief executive officer Jose Concepcion Jr said in a statement.
To enable it to engage in the export business, Swift said it invested, together with some local entrepreneurs, close to 800 million pesos to expand its northern Mindanao poultry operations.
The facilities include an abattoir that can slaughter 8,000 chickens per hour.
