New case of Type A FMD found in Tibet
China's Ministry of Agriculture said on September 10 that that a new case of Type A Foot-and-Mouth Disease (FMD) was discovered in Baqing County of Tibet.
On September 5, 38 cattle in Baqing County were showing signs of FMD-associated symptoms. It was confirmed later on September 10 by China National Foot and Mouth Disease Reference Laboratory to be Type A FMD.
Local authority has culled and destroyed all the 38 cattle to prevent the spread of disease.
