China vitamin C market sees little changes

Several producers continued to halt operation for routine maintenance. Hence, even as the demand for vitamin C from the aquaculture sector showed signs of weakening due to typhoon attacks in southeast China in August, prices remained unchanged during the period in review.

As of September 13, offer prices for pharmaceutical-grade vitamin C were unchanged in the range of RMB24-25/kg.

Supplies of vitamin C will be ample despite production halts. Vitamin C market is expected to remain soft.
