Andre Nogueira to become President, CEO of JBS USA

As part of a scheduled succession plan, Andre Nogueira, current CEO of JBS Australia, will become president and CEO of JBS USA, effective January 1, 2013 as Don Jackson will retire year end 2012.

 

Jackson will gradually transition his roles and responsibilities to Nogueira through the end of this year. Jackson will remain with the company in an advisory capacity and retain his seat on the board of Pilgrim's Pride Corporation.

 

Nogueira, in his new role as JBS USA CEO, will have responsibility for all US and Australia operations and will report directly to Wesley Batista, president and CEO of JBS global operations. He assumes the position of JBS USA CEO with more than 25 years of leadership experience in corporate business in both the US and Brazil.

In the US, Mexico and Puerto Rico, JBS USA and Pilgrim's Pride conducts its operations through eight beef processing plants, three pork processing plants, 31 poultry processing plants, 31 poultry hatcheries, one lamb processing plant, one hide tannery, 31 distribution centres, and 12 feedlots operated by JBS Five Rivers Cattle Feeding.  In Australia, the company operates 15 beef and small animal processing plants, seven feedlots, one hide tannery and seven distribution centres.
