China August corn exports down 53 percent on-year at 11,908 tonnes

China exported 11,908 tonnes of corn in August, down 53 percent from a year earlier, preliminary data issued Friday (September 11) by the General Administration of Customs showed.

In the year to date, exports totalled fell 55.7 percent to 82,742 tonnes, the customs department said.

August exports were about the same level or only slightly higher than 11,136 tonnes in July.
