Bunge to inaugurate new wheat milling complex in Brazil
Trading company Bunge Ltd. it will inaugurate a new wheat milling complex Friday (September 11) in Brazil's Pernambuco state.
The 165 million-Brazilian-real US(US$90.7 million) milling complex has been in "pilot operation" since the start of the year with an initial capacity to crush 1,950 tonnes of wheat per day, the company said in a press release.
This milling complex can be expanded to 2,600 tonnes per day, the company said.
The mill is located at the port of Suape and can process 800 tonnes of grain per hour for export.
Bunge's new wheat milling complex also has storage capacity for 50,000 tonnes, the release said.
Bunge in June also opened a factory with the capacity to crush 1.3 million tonnes of soy per year in Brazil's Mato Grosso state.
