China's August soy  imports at 2.93 million tonnes

China's soy  imports in August totaled 2.93 million tonnes, preliminary data provided by the General Administration of Customs showed Tuesday (Sep 11).

Total soy imports in January-August rose 1.8 percent on-year to 19.81 million tonnes, it said, without giving the on-year change for August alone.

Corn exports in August reached 230,000 tonnes, while total exports in January-August rose 82 percent on-year to 4.15 million tonnes, said the customs department.
