Methionine prices stabilise in China on improved buying interest
Prices of methionine were stable during the week ending September 9.
As feed demand increased with the Mid-autumn Festival approaching, methionine in prices stabilised from the recent fall amid stronger buying interest.
Price quotes of imported dl-methionine remained in the range of RMB25.50-26/kg.
China's methionine demand should increase in the coming period with animal inventories expanding, supporting prices to stay firm.
