Agrico to launch US$40-million pork processing plant
Agrico will be launching a US$40-million pork processing factory in Russia's Stavropol region, stated agricultural company, Gvardiya.
The factory is a part of the company's US$180-million animal breeding complex, currently under construction in the region's Krasnogvardeysky district. Under the project, the company has launched a pig farm for 80,000 pigs and animal feed plans.
The company is to open a meat processing factory in September 2010 and a fattening unit for 270,000 pigs in 2012, as well as other facilities.
Gvardiya is a part of Agrico group.
