Fonterra to acquire facility form New Zealand Dairy

Fonterra will acquire New Zealand Dairy's Studholme facility near Waimate, New Zealand.

The Commerce Commission says it's satisfied that the purchase have a significant impact on competition.

The Commission's ruled that since the plant specialises in producing milk products for export, the purchase will have an impact on the domestic milk market.

Fonterra has been operating the Studholme plant since New Zealand Dairies went into receivership in May.
