Unisplendour Tianhua launches first China-produced DL-methionine
Chongqing Unisplendour Tianhua launched China's first locally produced DL-methionine product, Greenly, on September 5 in Beijing.
Comes in 99-percent and 98.5-percent varieties, the product is produced in Unisplendour Tianhua's 10,000-tonne methionine plant in Chongqing Zhenjiang Fine Chemical Park, which was completed June this year.
The plant is a joint venture between Chongqing Unisplendour Chemical Co Ltd, a leading chemical producer of HCN and its derivatives, and Tianjin Bohai Chemical Co Ltd, the first Chinese company that brought the production technology of DL-methionine into the country. The two parent companies believe that the domestic demand for methionine will be buoyant given China's expanding livestock and feed industries.
