New ASF outbreaks found in Russia
In the Russian region Astrakhanskaya, new infections of African swine fever (ASF) have been found.
The area-situated North of the Caspian Sea in Southern Russia-never had a confirmed infection of ASF before.
Experts suspect that the virus occurred in the area for a longer time. The virus was found in dead pigs at various places in the area. Measures have been taken to prevent further spreading.
