China's 2011 soy crushing daily capacity to reach 350,000 tonnes

China's daily soy crushing capacity is likely to grow to about 350,000 tonnes next year, taking the total soy crushing capacity next year beyond 100 million tonnes, Chinatex Corp vice president Luan Richeng said Monday (Sep 6).

Chinatex is a major state-owned trader of agricultural commodities and textiles.

Speaking at an industry conference, Luan said this year's daily crushing capacity was about 300,000 tonnes.

Chinatex also expects the country's imports of cotton, soy and vegetable oils to grow steadily, Luan added.
