US to lower anti-dumping duties on two Vietnamese seafood companies

The Vietnam Association of Exporters and Producers said the US government would lower anti-dumping duties imposed on two Vietnamese basa catfish companies, Cataco and Vinh Hoan.

The tariff would be lowered from 41.06 percent to 38.8 percent for Cataco, and from 37.94 percent to 7.23 percent for Vinh Hoan, under the US government's preliminary decision.

A final decision would be made on lowering the anti-dumping tariffs after the US carried out more investigations in Vietnam next month, the association said.
