Russia to further develop its milk industry
Russia is set to improve its dairy industry by signing an agreement between the Russian Federation and the Bashkortosan republic.
The agreement was signed on September 3 in Ufa-the republic's capital-during the all-Russian festival 'Milky Country-2011' by Russia's Minister of Agriculture Elena Skrynnik and the President of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov. The document aims to undertake certain measures for development of the milk industry in the region particularly in helping the Republican goal-oriented programme "Development of milk cattle-breeding and increase of milk output: complex modernization of 500 milk farms in republic of Bashkortostan in 2012-2016" a reality.
The reconstruction of the milk farms, constructed 30-50 years ago, is also scheduled wherein two comfortable apartments for the workers will be built at every farm. The experience of Bashkortostan in collection of milk surpluses from private auxiliary farms will be recommended for the use in other regions. It is projected that development of all these directions will give a chance to raise the milk industry in Bashkortostan on qualitatively new level. The signed agreement can exemplify how the development of the milk branch should be implemented by the example of one region and in this case, the republic of Bashkortostan.
