FrieslandCampina names new executive director for business group Ingredients

As of November 1, 2010, Roelof Joosten, currently managing director of FrieslandCampina Domo, is appointed executive director of the business group Ingredients of FrieslandCampina.

 

He will take over Visser's responsibilities from January 1, 2011. Joosten will oversee the continuing development of special ingredients for the food and pharmaceutical industries. He will report to Chief Executive Officer Cees't Hart.

 

Frans Visser (62) has been a member of the Executive Board and chief operating officer of the business group Ingredients since January 1, 2009. He is ultimately responsible for the industrial activities of the operating companies FrieslandCampina DMV, FrieslandCampina Domo, FrieslandCampina Kievit, FrieslandCampina Creamy Creation and FrieslandCampina Dairy Feed. Furthermore, he is a member of the Governance Board of DMV Fonterra Excipients, a joint venture that also forms part of the business group Ingredients. From October 2006, he worked as group director Industrial Products at Campina. From 1997-2006, he was division director bakery ingredients at CSM. Prior to that, he held the positions of head of development, director of DMV International and group director of Industrial products from 1977- 1996.

 

Roelof Joosten (52) has been managing director of FrieslandCampina Domo (high quality milk and whey ingredients for use in infant, medical and cellular nutrition) since January 1, 2009. From November 2004, he was managing director of Friesland Foods Domo. Roelof Joosten was formerly employed as Regional Vice President Europe at the nutritional ingredients organisation Quest International.
