China lysine prices soften as demand waned
Prices moved lower during the week ended August 26. Several producers who anticipated competition to be tight in the coming period lowered prices in efforts to attract buyers.
Price quotes of 98.5-percent lysine were mainly in the range of RMB13.30 -13.90/kg.
Demand for lysine is expected to be strong with soymeal prices approaching historic high levels and hog inventories expanding.
