Light demand weakens China lysine prices

Prices continued to decline during the week ended September 2.

Even as soymeal prices surged prominently over the past few weeks, demand was light while buyers relied on previously accumulated stocks. Although most large producers announced that they would increase prices soon, smaller producers continued to negotiate prices.

With demand for lysine expected to be strong amid increased usage in feed production, producers will likely stand firm in the coming period.
