Spain's June 2012 poultry production down

 

 

Spain experienced a decline in its poultry production in June 2012, compared with the same month last year.

 

According to statistics of livestock production provided by the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Environment, the total number of birds slaughtered in the month of June 2012 was 57,177, down 4.57%, compared with 60,031 birds killed the same month last year.

 

During the first half of 2012, 347,379 birds were slaughtered, 81% less than the amount killed during the same period last year (350,208).
