More FMD infected cattle culled in Russia's Khabarovsk region


 

Local authorities said another 56 cattle infected with FMD, or foot-and-mouth disease, were culled this time in Vyazemsky district, Khabarovsk region.

 

138 cattle were earlier culled in Khabarovsk's Bikinsky district.

 

Meanwhile about 20 cattle with FMD symptoms were detected in Vidnoye city, Moscow, but there was no decision to cull them so far.

 

In response, the government has undertaken sanitary measures and banned dairy and meat deliveries from the affected areas.
