Methionine market stable but lacks momentum in China
Prices of methionine were mostly unchanged during the week ending September 2.
As the availability of local products was ample, methionine market softened while producers cut prices amid strong competition.
Price quotes of imported dl-methionine were lower in the range of RMB25.50-26/kg.
With supplies abundant and demand limited, the upward potential of methionine market will be limited even though sales are expected to increase.
