Lysine prices rise significantly in China
Lysine increased prominently during the week ending September 2.
Prices of lysine surged over the week as supply was insufficient to meet demand, which remained buoyant due high animal releases and an increase in the feed consumption following the drop in weather temperatures.
Price quotes of 98.5-percent lysine increased to the range of RMB9.10-9.50/kg.
With export demand likely to grow and domestic demand staying robust, lysine prices will remain firm during September.
