China Corn Weekly: Price climbs toward 2011's historic high (week ended Aug 31, 2012)
Farmers started to trade newly harvested corn, the increase in supply was limited. Hence, corn prices continued to climb, albeit slowly, in most regions. Stormy weather in the northeast region resulted in stalk lodging in many corn fields. This is poised to diminish the upcoming corn harvest this year.
