Korean Beef Exports Strengthen

Australian beef exports to Korea rose significantly in August. Total beef exports to Korea reached 6,616 tons sw, a 61% rise on the same month last year.

Chilled beef exports continue to experience strong growth, jumping 122% on last year to 1,180 tons sw, while frozen exports increased 52% to 5,436 tons. Both grassfed and grainfed exports also gained 62% and 58% on last year, to 5,785 tons sw and 851 tons sw, respectively.

Calendar year to date Australian beef exports to Korea are 34% higher than the previous year at 58,228 tons.
