Russia harvests 65 million tonnes of grain so far

 

 

Russia's grain harvest has amounted to 65.2 million tonnes so far this year, the Agriculture Ministry said in a report Tuesday (Sept 1).

 

Grain has been harvested from 52.5 percent of the total planted area, the ministry said.

 

In 2009, Russia's grain harvest is projected at 85 million tonnes, Agriculture Minister Yelena Skrynnik said earlier. Last year, the grain harvest in Russia was 108 million tonnes.
