Argentina chicken meat exports up 2.2 percent

 

 

Argentina's chicken meat exports increased 2.2 percent on-year to 106,310 tonnes during January to July 2009, according to animal health and food safety service, Senasa.

 

Despite the growth in volume, export value fell 12.5 percent on-year to US$135.2 million during the period.

 

Exports of fresh meat fell 16.2 percent to US$94.8 million.

 

The main destinations for the fresh meat were Chile and South Africa.
