Aviagen Turkeys have announced Ian Hamilton will be appointed Managing Director, effective September 1st 2008.

Martin Shea, the current Managing Director, will take on the new role of Non-Executive Chairman. In this role Shea will support Hamilton in the strategic development of the business.

In April this year, Aviagen announced the formation of Aviagen Turkeys from the merger of Nicholas Turkey Breeding Farms Inc and British United Turkeys Ltd. Management changes are intended to take the business forward to the next stage of development.
