Taiwan TFMA Buys 34,000 MT US No.1 Wheat From Mitsui
The Taiwan Flour Millers Association bought 34,000 metric tons of U.S. No. 1 wheat from Japanese trading house Mitsui in a tender concluded Wednesday, said a Taipei-based trader who received the tender result.
TFMA bought one cargo of different grades of milling wheat at prices ranging from $152.67 - $201.22 a ton, free on board, said the trader.
The shipment date is set between Oct. 3-18 from the Columbia River District, including Portland. Mitsui can choose to supply 5% more or less of the tendered quantity.
A separate freight rate of $37.80/ton will be charged on top of all FOB prices, the trader said.
