BIOMIN inaugurates new global headquarters in Austria

BIOMIN has just opened its new global headquarters in Getzersdorf, Austria.

The opening ceremony took place on August 28, 2015, with Austrian Finance Minister, Hans Jörg Schelling, and the Governor of Lower Austria, Erwin Pröll, in attendance.

Located sixty kilometers west of Vienna in the ERBER Group campus, the 11,000 square meter building sets new standards for staff friendliness and energy efficiency. It is the first platinum LEED-certified building (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) ever constructed in Austria.

The offices are equipped with ergonomic height adjustable desks, biodynamic light sources, adequate natural light and a geothermal-powered cooling system. Situated on 20 hectares including wooded areas and a recreational area with running track and swimming pools, the site offers room for further building expansions. The company had outgrown its former headquarters in Herzogenberg.

BIOMIN continued to see double-digit sales growth supported by geographic expansion and recent product line successes with Digestarom®, a phytogenic feed additive, PoultryStar®, a multi-species probiotic for poultry, and the recent launch of the fifth generation of Mycofix® for mycotoxin deactivation.

Longstanding cooperation with top researchers at the Inter-University Department of Agrobiotechnology (IFA) in Tulln and other institutions worldwide have helped the company to become a leader in mycotoxin deactivation and gut performance management.
