Poland's pork exports to Russia to face strict inspections
Rosselkhoznadzor, Russia's Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance, will impose strict inspections on pork imports from Poland.
The development came after some Spanish pork marrow is reported hidden in a consignment from Poland at the Belarusian border.
Media reports have said that the marrow originate from factories without export permits to countries in Russia's customs union.
Earlier this month, Rosselkhoznadzor has announced the discovery of E. coli bacteria in some Polish frozen pork and beef products.
Poland is currently investigating the issue.
