Russia's July pork output climbs 11.5% on-year

In July, Russia has produced 59,300 tonnes of pork, an increase of 11.5% compared with July 2009, the federal statistics service reported Tuesday (Aug 31).

The federal statistics service said that Russia's pork production in July fell by 4.5% as compared with June this year.

Without giving output figures for January-July this year, the statistics service said pork output has increased by 28.7% in that period as compared with January-July 2009.
